Nilikua Pabaya Sana! Singer Jovial Opens Up About Her 2021 Depression Journey

Popular Kenyan musician dubbed Jovial has disclosed that last year she experienced depression, something that affected her immensely despite the fact that she kept on showing a happy face on social media. She stated that she had to paint a smile online, but deep down, she was going through hell. Jovial went ahead to state that she maintained faith faith things would get better, and that is what happened later on. She was able to recollect and get through what she was facing. She stated that she battled depression towards the end of last year and the beginning of this year as well.

Taking to her Instagram stories, she wrote, “Lately I’ve been at peace and a happy soul. Mwisho wa mwaka jana na mwanzo wa mwaka huu I went through alot! I was depressed, wrecked and completely lost but no one knew about it! On Social media everyone is happy, that’s  what we are supposed to potray, but deep down inside slowly dying! Depression is real! But one thing you need to know is kila chenye mwanzo hakikosi mwisho! Hata upitie changamoto ya aina gani itapita tu! Hope im able to help a soul somewhere. Hold on tomorrow is a new day Love and Light.”


Depression has been a serious problem among celebrities for the longest time. Due to this, it is very unfortunate that celebrities continue to suffer from the problem despite the fact that they are at the center of entertainment.
