Deputy President William Ruto and Azimio – One Kenya presidential candidate Raila Odinga are expected to unveil their running mates today, Sunday, 15th May, 2022.
Ruto had been slated to announce principal assistant in Kenya Kwanza Alliance on Saturday, 14th May, but postponed the long awaited announcement to today, Sunday.
Addressing the media on Saturday night, Ruto’s head of communication Hussein Mohammed revealed that Kenya Kwanza principals had arrived at a decision of picking Ruto’s running and will be unveiled on Sunday at 11am.
“Kenya Kwanza principals including United Democratic Alliance of William Ruto, ANC party leader Musalia Mudavadi, Ford Kenya boss Moses Wetangula, PAA head governor Amason Jeffa Kingi, Maendeleo Chap Chap party leader governor Alfred Mutua, Tujibebe party of William Kabogo, Chama Cha Kazi of Moses Kuria have already made a decision on running mate coveted slot and will be unveiled tomorrow (Sunday)” said Hussein Mohammed.
Azimio – One Kenya presidential hopeful Raila Odinga is also racing against time to unveil his running mate today at Kamukunji ground, in Nairobi.
Raila received three potential candidates from nondescript committee of Azimio – One Kenya advisory panel led by former minister Noah Wekesa (chairman), Elizabeth (Mayo secretary) and Paul Mwangi (legal advisor).
Among the candidates battling for the position includes; Wiper party boss Kalonzo Musyoka, Narc Kenya party leader Musalia Mudavadi and Agriculture Cabinet Secretary Peter Munya.
