Avoid the Ol Kalou puppet they want to dress in Kiaraho’s clothes

For many years to come, the name of the late Hon David Kiaraho will be at the lips of many Ol Kalou residents who he served with unmatched dedication. They will remember every road he built, every borehole he drilled, and every child he helped through school. And much more!

They will remember a man who did not need handlers to tell him what to say or minders to prop him up at public functions. They remember a leader who walked among them with dignity, not a puppet whose strings are pulled by others.

In the same vein, they will remember his protégé Samuel Muchina Nyaga who he mentored into the politics of servant-leadership.

Now enter Sammy Kamau Ngotho, also known as Sam Waweru Douglas. Only individuals with something to hide carry two sets of names, but we shall leave that particular discussion for another day for now… What concerns us now is the spectacle of a political neophyte being paraded before the people of Ol Kalou as a viable successor to a man of Kiaraho’s stature. The very suggestion is an insult to the intelligence of every voter in this constituency.

Who is behind this charade? A gang of dyed-in-the-wool political scavengers have identified Ngotho as the perfect candidate precisely because he is a spineless puppet. Some are men who have been in the political wilderness for so long that they have forgotten what genuine service looks like. They have chosen Ngotho because he possesses scanty and questionable leadership qualities.

People of Ol Kalou must NOT forget a man without backbone is easy to manipulate. A man without convictions is easy to direct. A man without a mind of his own is the ideal vessel for those who wish to rule from behind the curtain.

The late Kiaraho was a man of substance. He did not need to be carried along like a child. Neither did he need handlers to guide his every move. He stood on his own two feet and made decisions that benefited his people.

Meanwhile, Ngotho, by stark contrast, is a political scarecrow, a figure made in the images of known clowns and mannequins. He is the creation of men who believe the people of Ol Kalou are dumb enough to accept any candidate they present, no matter how unqualified.

The people of Ol Kalou deserve better than a mannequin. They deserve a leader who can think, speak, and act independently. They deserve someone who understands that representation is not about following instructions from handlers but about serving the interests of constituents.

They deserve Muchina Nyaga, a man who walked with Kiaraho and learned what true leadership entails.

Those imagining they can impose a puppet on Ol Kalou should know that the people are not as gullible as they think they are.

They will not be fooled by the renaming stunts. They will remember Kiaraho, and they will choose a leader worthy of his legacy.

The man is Samuel Muchina Nyaga – period!
