Popular Kenyan media personality known as Maina Kageni has revealed that he would never consider vying for a gubernatorial position because he doesn’t have a degree. Among the qualifications needed for one to vie for a Governor’s seat is a degree from a credited University, and that is something that the media personality admits that he doesn’t have. Maina Kageni didn’t complete his tertiary education, and this landed him in being a truck driver.

Maina Kageni revealed this during a recent conversation with King’ang’i during their morning show at Classic 105 radio. The radio presenter stated that it is very unethical for someone to bring a degree from anywhere and argue that it is a correct document.

Maina seemed to be attacking the UDA party Nairobi Gubernatorial aspirant known as Johnson Sakaja following his recent trouble in proving that he has a degree. On a series of attempts, Johnson Sakaja is yet to prove that he has a degree from a recognised University. Maina said, ”

I have no degree so I cannot even look for that job (Governor). You cannot go and bring a degree form just anywhere and present it. You cannot buy papers you will be found out at some point.

Churchill Ndambuki alias King’ang’i joked at Maina Kageni’s situation, adding that at least, he was able to achieve something at the end of the day, which is, being successful in his radio career. Churchill Ndambuki stated,

At least ulirudi na kizungu, so you ate all that money na hio baridi yote? Most people look for Universities that are remotely located ndio Chebukati asiended huko.

Currently, Maina Kageni is one of the most sought-after radio presenters in Kenya. He has had a successful journey, and this is because of his ability to connect with the listeners.
