Controversial Anglican pastor Jackson Ole Sapit has today, Saturday made a public address at the home of the former prime minister Raila Odinga in Karen where the clergy was meeting with the Azimio la Umoja-One Kenya alliance leader.

Breaking the silence on what transpired at the bomas of Kenya, Ole Sapit has said that after they visited the Orange Democratic Movement party chief, they all have learned what transpired and have advised Raila Odinga to go on with his legal team and pursue the matter in courts.

“We have today learned what took place and I want to ask everyone to keep calm as the parties involved will have to pursue this matter through legal means. This will help in maintaining peace in the country,” Ole Sapit said.

He also said that Raila Odinga and his family are members of the Anglican church of Kenya and people should stop criticizing them.

“I want to say that this family is a member of our church the Anglican church, I have heard people ask questions about their religion. I want to say that they’ve been our members for a long time now and today we’re just doing our pastoral work,” he added.

Pastor Ole Sapit has been making headlines for allegedly siding with Kenya Kwanza president-elect William Ruto to collude with the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) chairman Wafula Chebukati to declare William Ruto on Monday in the just concluded general election.

However, Raila insisted that the perceived division among the IEBC commissioners portrayed shame to the world about the credibility of the electoral commission.
