Kenyan-based political analyst Mutahi Ngunyi has picked a war with Kenyatta University Vice-Chancellor after resigning over alleged pilling pressure to hand over the title deed of the learning institution to the Head of Public Service Joseph Kinyua.

Picking a raw battle with Paul Wainaina after resigning, Mutahi Ngunyi opined that Mr. Wainaina ought to be cooling his heels at Kamiti prison for declining to heed the cabinet order of handing over the title deed to the Head of Public Service, Joseph Kinyua.

“This KU VC is a Foolish old man. You cannot disobey a cabinet memo and not get sacked. If this was a banana republic, he would be in Kamiti. This fellow can cry a river if he wants to. But this is not how to run a country” Mutahi Ngunyi said.

Magoha distances himself from KU Vice Chancellor’s trouble

This emerges jointly after Education Cabinet Secretary Prof. George Magoha hinted that all land belongs to the government and Paul Wainaina lacks the mandate to dictate to the government what should be done on the land.

“All land belongs to the government. The government owns everything, including the land I am standing on,” Magoha said.

He also noted that he would have a similar step to Paul Wainaina, to resign, was that he is caught in a situation of handing over the institution’s title deed.

“If I don’t like what you are telling me to do, the door is wide open, I will use the legs that God gave me and I will leave,” Magoha added while gracing Competency – Curriculum land breaking at Pumwani Boys High School, Nairobi.

Kinyua had addressed Wainaina through an official letter requesting to be handed the title deed of the institution.

“We wish to inform you most respectfully, that we will be unable to accede to the request to the title deeds,” the statement reads.
