Kenya Kwanza running mate nominee Rigathi Gachagua has blasted Narc Kenya party leader and Azimio – One Kenya deputy president hopeful Martha Karua for allegedly abandoning the former president Mwai Kibaki during the altercations with Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party leader Raila Odinga.
Speaking on Sunday, during a church service at St Thomas The Apostle – Patron Saint of Athi Catholic Parish in Igembe South, Meru county, Gachagua accused Raila’s principal assistant of allegedly decamping from Kibaki’s faction following the Kibaki-Raila conflict.
“When the former president Mwai Kibaki got into trouble with Raila Odinga, Martha Karua walked away from Kibaki. She showed Kibaki the middle finger. Si mnakumbuka?” Gachagua said.
Gachagua also wooed electorates to walk the political path of Kenya Kwanza that hopefully seeks to lower the cost of living in the first month after deputy president William Ruto takes power from Uhuru Kenyatta.
Ruto on the other hand faulted the head of state and former prime minister Raila Odinga for allegedly abdicating Jubilee’s four-point agenda to prioritize reggae and constitution amendment bills.
“Si Uhuru and Raila ndio wamesambaratisha uchumi? Si wakati Mimi nilikuwa nafanya Kazi na rais kabla ule jamaa wa kitendawili akuje, si Unga ilikuwa mia Moja, sai si Unga imefika mia mbili? It is Jamaa wa kitendawili ndio walikuja kuangusha na kusambaratisha mpango ambayo tulikuwa nayo wa Big four agenda” Ruto said.
Speaking in Tigania, Ruto launched scathing attacks at his boss over Uhuru’s accusations at Kenya Kwanza Alliance for failing to seek solutions to the high cost of crisis but instead hatching a political fight with the state.
“Mimi nasikitika kuona watu wengine wakilia ng’we ng’we ng’we, Kila wakati mdomo mdomo ati tutafanya kazi. Mbona hukufanya wakati umekua kwa uongozi? Wawache upuzi” Uhuru slammed at DP Ruto without mentioning the name during Ushirika Day Celebrations at KICC on Saturday.
