Raila’s potential cabinet team has been disclosed by the Star Newspaper in its Friday publication should he make it to State House. Raila is anticipated to appoint a strong cabinet from each of the Azimio la Umoja One Kenya Alliance’s parties in order to maintain the coalition’s balance.

As previously reported, the dream team could include former Gatanga MP Peter Kenneth, current Agriculture CS Peter Munya, who will continue to hold the ministry in Raila’s government, Martha Karua, Wiper party leader, Kalonzo Musyoka, outgoing Kakamega Governor, and Wycliffe Oparanya, who will hold the ministry of treasury and planning.

Kisii Governor James Ongwae, Suleiman Shabal, Sally Kosgei, Joe Mucheru, the current CS for ICT, is expected to keep their seat, outgoing Mombasa governor Ali Hassan Joho will hold the ministry of Land, Fred Matiang’i, the CS for Interior and Coordination of National Government, is expected to keep his ministry, and current Kitui governor Charity Ngilu are also part of the dream team.

Raila Odinga, the Azimio la Umoja flag bearer, recently earned a major boost in Kitui County after county governor Charity Ngilu dropped his bid in favor of former governor Julius Malombe and former senator David Musila, who was running against her.

Other politicians were also asked to drop their ambitions and join him in national politics by the former prime minister, who even went so far as to allocate six cabinet posts if he formed the next government.
