Deputy President William Ruto has urged Raila Odinga, the head of the Orange Democratic Party, to tell Kenyans three things about his academic career before throwing fingers at Sakaja and other Kenya Kwanza leaders. The second in command has requested Odinga to clarify who his classmates were throughout his university studies while speaking today.

Who were his professors at the university, and when did he receive his diploma?

The second in command has instructed Azimio members to refrain from criticizing his Sakaja if they are unable to provide information on where their presidential candidate attended classes and received his further education.

The Kenya Kwanza presidential contender pulled Raila’s name into the mud while speaking in Kisii County on Thursday asking him to verify if he has the necessary qualification to run for President.

The DP who is defending Sakaja claims that the former Prime Minister’s academic credentials should be scrutinized as well.

A snapshot of Raila’s claimed degree certificate from the Otto Von Guericke Technical University Magdeburg has finally emerged on social media amid all of this.

This comes just hours after Odinga was recognized as an alumnus of a German university alongside other well-known leaders who are currently powerful in Europe. The Independent Electoral Commission confirmed yesterday that Odinga had completed all of the prerequisites for being approved and was free to run for any position. So, let’s see how things pan out in the near future.

Raila earned an engineering degree from the Faculty of Metal Processing Engineering in 1969, according to the certificate.

The credential was obtained from an East German institution in 2013, maybe in preparation for the 2013 general election, which required presidential candidates to have a degree certificate.

The war against fake academic qualifications continues in accordance with the new rules which were implemented to scrutinize gubernatorial and presidential seat contenders.
