We, the Nyandarua Progressive Ladies Group, wish to sincerely thank the organisers of the meeting we had in Ngorika yesterday.
First and foremost, we extend our deepest appreciation to the organisers of this historic gathering. Your vision, your dedication, and your unwavering commitment to the empowerment of women brought us together in a manner that we shall never forget.
To the respected women leaders who graced us with their presence, we say asante sana from the bottom of our hearts.
On a day that will remain stitched in our collective memory, more than 3,000 of us converged at Ngorika area in Ol Kalou Constituuency for that life-changing experience.
We left that meeting knowing that we will certainly never be the same again. The fire that was ignited in our hearts cannot possibly be extinguished. The courage that was instilled in our spirits is an enduring flame that will never be put off. We have seen the light, and forthwith, we refuse to walk in darkness.
You spoke to the very soul of every woman present at Ngorika yesterday. You reminded us that we are not mere accessories to be deployed by political brokers during election seasons.
You reminded us also that, in no uncertain terms, that we are the architects of our own destiny and that we must never again allow ourselves to be used as lifeless voting machines.
We are the lot that will change the future of our families, our communities, and our nation. The women leaders who addressed us did not mince their words.
They challenged us to step forward, to raise our voices, and to lead from the front. They told us that our children are watching, our granddaughters are watching, and the generations to come will lean on what we make possible today.
We came as ordinary women, but left as warriors ready to claim our rightful place in the stewardship of this nation.
We call upon all women of Ol Kalou to rise up, to be counted, and to make their voices clearly heard.
For too long, women in Kenya have been told to stay in the background, to support from the shadows, and to leave the decision-making to the men folk. But the message we received at Ngorika was clear and resolute: Sisi ni viongozi.
Sisi ni wamama wenye uwezo. Sisi ndio tutabadilisha mustakabali wa familia zetu, jamii zetu, na wa taifa letu.
On behalf of our colleague we hereby make a solemn vow. As we look ahead to the upcoming Ol Kalou by-election on 16th of July 2026, we shall do the rest of the legwork to ensure Muchina Nyaga clinches the seat left by our beloved Hon David Kiaraho.
Beginning now, we will go out with boldness to talk to our sisters, our neighbours, and our friends about why it is Muchina Nyaga that we shall vote for en mass come 16th of next month.
We shall not be content as spectators in the political processes and we will not accept to be used as pawns in political games. Going forward, our resolve is to be omen of action, women of purpose, and women forever determined to make a difference.
Mungu ibariki wanawake wa Nyandarua. Mungu ibariki Ol Kalou. Mungu ibariki Kenya.
