The Jubilee Party has restructured its leadership as part of preparations for the 2027 General Election, with the aim of strengthening its internal systems and improving coordination across the country. The changes were approved during a National Executive Council meeting chaired by party leader and former President Uhuru Kenyatta.
A key appointment from the meeting was Jeremiah Kioni as Deputy Party Leader in charge of Operations. Kioni, who previously served as the party’s Secretary General, has been given the responsibility of strengthening party structures and ensuring strict adherence to party rules and processes.
His role will involve coordinating Jubilee’s activities from the grassroots to the national level and leading engagement with political partners and other stakeholders as the party works to rebuild its influence.
Kioni will work alongside Fred Matiang’i, who assumed the role of Deputy Party Leader in October 2025 and is also Jubilee’s presidential candidate.
Their collaboration is expected to guide the party’s strategy and messaging as it positions itself for the next election cycle.
Following Kioni’s move, former Narok North MP Moitalel Ole Kenta was appointed as the new Secretary General. Former Education Chief Administrative Secretary Zack Kinuthia was named Deputy Secretary General, adding administrative experience to the party’s top leadership. These appointments are intended to improve efficiency within the party secretariat.
Further changes were made to other senior positions. Former West Mugirango MP Vincent Kemosi Mogaka was appointed Jubilee’s Chairperson, while Yassin Noor Haji took over as National Organising Secretary.
Lawyer Dan Mwangi was named Executive Director, a role focused on day-to-day management of party affairs. Former Murang’a Senator Kembi Gitura was appointed Director of Elections, placing him in charge of preparing the party for electoral processes.
At the county level, Nairobi MCA and Deputy Speaker Paul Kados was appointed National Chairperson of the MCA’s Caucus.
His more than twenty years of experience at City Hall and strong grassroots networks in Nairobi were cited as key strengths. Former Jubilee National Chairman Saitoti Torome was also given a new role as head of the Jubilee Foundation, where he will oversee public policy matters.
Speaking after the restructuring, Kioni said the changes were aimed at rebuilding a disciplined and well-organised party with a strong national presence.
He stated that Jubilee intends to offer clear solutions to the challenges facing Kenyans, especially in areas of economic pressure and governance.
Jubilee has reaffirmed its commitment to unity, social justice, economic recovery, and leadership that listens to citizens and delivers practical results.
