Kapsaret member of Parliament Oscar Sudi has finally opened up on vying for a legislative position in Nyanza region on Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party.
Speaking on Sunday evening in Langas ward, Sudi, who is Deputy President William Ruto’s key associate revealed that he would have shifted from Ruto’s United Democratic Alliance (UDA) to Raila’s ODM had he been compelled to vie for any political elective seat in Nyanza region.
“Wacha tuongee ukweli pole pole, kwa sababu mimi napenda kusema ukweli. Hata Mimi Oscar Sudi ningekuwa nasimama Nyanza, ningesimama na ODM,”
Sudi told Yamumbi residents.
Sudi rallied the locals to vote for UDA candidates in the region to be able to attract development projects from the national government for the benefit of electorates.
The legislator confidently affirmed that Deputy President William Ruto will thrush Raila Odinga in the forthcoming presidential election and this could portray a huge win for Uasin Gishu residents. He added that County Governor, Women rep, senator, MPs and MCAs seats will be taken by UDA candidates, owing to the fact that the region is DP Ruto’s turf.

“Sasa niwaulize kitu moja, president atakuwa wa UDA, governor wa UDA, Women rep wa UDA, Senator wa UDA MPs na MCAs Wote wa UDA, mnataka kuniambia mwengine wa Chama kingine hata akipita hapa anaweza ambia rais kitu amsikize kuhusu Maendeleo?” Sudi added.
The lawmaker also urged residents to embrace political tolerance and desist from instigating post-election violence.
He told electorates to vote on 9th August and go home to avoid causing political mayhem in towns.
“Shun away leaders who come here to preach to you politics of ethnicity. We won’t be pushed into tribal politics. In this country, people won’t fight again like what happened in 2007 and 2008” Sudi added.
He is seeking to defend his seat on the UDA party ticket.
