Raila Beats Ruto in Latest Tifa Polls Release

Azimio – One Kenya presidential candidate Raila Odinga is the most preferred candidate for the country’s top seat in the forthcoming August contest, Tifa says.

According to the latest research conducted by the former prime minister Raila Odinga commands 42 percent support while his main challenger of Kenya Kwanza Alliance, William Ruto enjoys 39 percent.

The Roots Party presidential hopeful George Luchiri Wajackoyah wielded 4 percent. With only 28 days remaining to the general election, Tifa statistics also indicated that 10 percent of electorates are undecided while 4 percent failed to respond on their suitable candidate for the presidency.

The survey showed that Deputy President William Ruto beats Azimio – One Kenya flag bearer Raila Odinga with 43 percent support from president Uhuru Kenyatta’s Central region.

In the Coastal region, Raila leads with 50 percent while Ruto commands 26 percent. The ODM boss is the most preferred presidential aspirant in Lower Eastern, enjoying 46 percent while his Kenya Kwanza opponent William Ruto banks on 29 percent.

Ruto, on the other hand, beats Raila in the Mt Kenya region, bagging 53 percent as Raila garners 24 percent.

The ODM chief is the favourite candidate for Nairobians commanding 58 percent while Ruto takes 28 percent.

Raila beats Ruto in other regions

Ruto banks 55 percent in Northern while Raila takes 35 percent. In Nyanza, Raila leads 68 percent while Ruto enjoys 13 percent. Raila beats Ruto in South Rift and Western with 45 percent against 33% and 48% against 37% respectively.

The poll emerges barely a week when the four presidential candidates (Raila, Ruto, Wajackoyah and David Waihiga Mwaure) are set to face each for a robust presidential debate that is scheduled on 26th July 2022.

The ODM party leader Raila Odinga has been shining against other candidates in the previous polls released by a score of research firms.

The candidates have unleashed and activated political machinery across the country in rallying the voters to adopt their respective bids ahead of the August battle.
