Deputy President William Ruto is most likely to win presidential election in August contest, says Intel Research Solutions.

According to the latest poll, Ruto wielded 51.2 per cent support across the country while his main opponent, Raila Odinga banked on 44.2 per cent support.

The report also indicated that The Roots Party presidential candidate George Luchiri Wajackoyah enjoys 1.9 per cent while Agano Party’s David Waihiga Mwaure commands 1.1 per cent support in the country.

“Ruto is likely to manage a first round win against his competitor going by the data. Almost half of the respondents country wide would prefer William Ruto as their president today. Changes observed in this poll are slight increases for William Ruto and Raila Odinga and a slight drop in the undecided voter pool,” said Intel Research Solutions

The report showed that Ruto is the most preferred candidate for presidency in Mt Kenya as compared to Azimio – One Kenya candidate Raila Odinga.

In Mt Kenya Central, Ruto leads with 70.9 per cent as Raila bags 23.1 per cent. Ruto commands 72.4 per cent support in Mt Kenya East while Raila enjoys 22.6 per cent.

In Nakuru and Laikipia, 65.7 per cent of voter support Ruto while 28.0 per cent back Raila.

The Roots Party candidate George Luchiri Wajackoyah, who has averred to decriminalize Marijuana, oscillates around 2 per cent while the Agano Party’s David Waihiga Mwaure ranges between 1-1.5 per cent.

In Rift Valley, Ruto beats Raila with over 70 per cent support. Ruto is backed by 81.8 per cent of voters while Raila takes only 14.3 per cent.

In Coastal region, Raila leads with 54.6 per cent while Ruto closely follows with 40.2 per cent.

In the recent polls by other related firms, Raila has been leading although with a paltry margin against Ruto

The two presidential rivalries are expected to face each other on 26th July, 2022 for a presidential debate that many Kenyans are looking forward to evaluate the duo.
