The Commission for University Education chairperson Professor Chacha Nyaigoti has today, Wednesday, 15th June revoked senator Johnson Sakaja’s recognition of Team University degree certificate pending determination of lodged thorough scrutiny over his controversial academic credentials.

In a letter addressed to the legislator, Chacha noted that Sakaja’s recognition of his Bachelor of Science in Management degree certificate from Teams University in Uganda has been revoked for further investigation to ascertain its validity.

Consequently, in accordance to the Commission for University Recognition Procedures, we hereby revoke the recognition of your degree – Bachelor of Science in Management (External) from the aforementioned University” reads the letter addressed from Professor Chacha Nyaigoti to senator Sakaja.

However, Kapsaret MP Oscar Sudi has lashed president Uhuru Kenyatta for allegedly playing backdoor political games to sabotage Sakaja’s bid to clinch to the county’s top seat.

According to Oscar Sudi, Uhuru Kenyatta, personally made a phone call to someone in Uganda to initiate the cancellation of Sakaja’s Degree Certificate, an attempt to block him from vying for Nairobi seat.

Sudi also predicted that Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) and the court will serve Sakaja justice despite being ‘fought’ by the deep state to edge him out of the race.

“President Uhuru Kenyatta I pushing Johnson Sakaja to the wall. He personally made a call to someone in Uganda of which I will soon disclose. Regardless of these schemes and machinations, we know that the court will serve justice to Sakaja. IEBC should stand firm in its grounds since they had already cleared Sakaja given that they play no role in investigation” Sudi said.
