Amani National Congress (ANC) party leader Musalia Mudavadi has revealed President Uhuru Kenyatta’s alleged secret plans to shortchange Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party leader Raila Odinga in the August 9, succession contest.
Speaking in Esibila, West Bunyore, Vihiga County, Mudavadi informed that Uhuru has tipped about plans to retire from politics in August, alongside the former prime minister Raila Odinga. He hinted that Uhuru had devised plans to plot Raila’s fall in the forthcoming election.
“President Uhuru Kenyatta told me that when he retire in August, 2022, he will go alongside the former prime minister Raila Odinga. If he thinks what I am saying is a lie, I dare him to come out and refute the claims. He told me that he will retire together with Raila. When he goes back to Gatundu, Raila will be heading to Bondo” Mudavadi said.
Mudavadi also alleged that Uhuru has been pushing Mt Kenya region legislators to join deputy president William Ruto’s led Kenya Kwanza Alliance, asserting that it is the coalition that will form the next government.
He alleged it was President Uhuru Kenyatta’s diverse intervention for Chama Cha Kazi party leader Moses Kuria, Tujibebe party leader William Kabogo, Kiambu senator Kimani Wamatangi among other legislators from his rural turf to join Ruto’s Kenya Kwanza Alliance.
“Uhuru pushed Kimani Wamatangi, William Kabogo, Moses Kuria among other legislators from his rural turf to join Kenya Kwanza” he added.
Mudavadi also rallied electorates to vote for ANC party candidates for various elective seats in the region to deliver the 70 percent of votes to Kenya Kwanza vote-hunting basket in order to secure 30 per cent of the hustler nation government.
“Ukiona Raila ameambia watu wa Kisumu na Siaya wapigie candidates wa ODM, Ruto pia ameambia watu wa Rift valley wapigie candidates wa UDA, hapa mbona mnataka tena Raila akuje atuambie tupige candidate wa ODM na nyumbani kwetu? Ninawaomba mpigie governor wa ANC Hon Alfred Agoi na Women rep Mama Beatrice Adagala ili tuweze kufikisha 70 per cent of Luhya votes in Kenya Kwanza to get 30 per cent of the government” Mudavadi stated.
