Nairobi voters have shared their views in a new poll about who should be the next senator for the county in 2027. The survey by Mwelekeo Insights shows clear preferences among the people who took part. A total of 328 people participated in the online poll for the Nairobi County Senatorial Seat.
Sifuna Leads the Race
Edwin Sifuna from ODM came first with 43.6 percent of the votes. Many people seem to like his work and style in politics. He is the current senator and appears to have strong support among respondents.
Babu and Jalang’o Follow
In second place is Ken Babu from DCP with 29.3 percent. This shows he has built a notable support base among those who took part in the survey.
Coming third is Felix Jalang’o, also from ODM, with 20.1 percent. He is well known for his media career and public presence, which continues to make him a recognizable figure in Nairobi politics.
Other Candidates and Undecided Voters
Kenneth Onyango from KPP received 5.2 percent of the support in the poll.
Meanwhile, 1.8 percent of respondents said they were still undecided. There were no rejected ballots, and turnout was listed as 100 percent among those who participated.
What the Results Suggest
This poll gives an idea of what some Nairobi residents think right now. Politics can change over time as more people join the race and as new issues emerge.
However, the results show Edwin Sifuna holding an early lead. The findings also reveal a split in support within ODM, with two candidates from the party attracting attention from voters. This could indicate that ODM continues to have a strong presence in Nairobi County.
