Azimio – One Kenya presidential aspirant in the just concluded general election Raila Odinga has disqualified Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) chairman Wafula Chebukati from Presiding over electoral processes in the areas where the election was postponed.

Speaking in Mombasa while drumming support for Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) candidate for Mombasa gubernatorial seat, Abdulswamad Nassir, Mr Odinga accused Chebukati for allegedly colluding with United Democratic Alliance (UDA) presidential aspirant William Ruto to rig the August 9 election in his favour.

“Mr Chebukati and William Ruto colluded to steal our votes and subvert the will of the people. Fortunately, we caught them red-handed and we have submitted the pieces of evidence of how Chebukati stole our victory to the supreme court” said Raila Odinga.

Raila claimed that the presidential election was marred with irregularities to render stolen win to William Ruto.

He added that the move by the splinter group of four Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) commissioners to disown Chebukati’s results due to “opaqueness” depicts that the election was bungled to favor his main competitor in the presidential contest William Ruto.

You have seen the four IEBC commissioners disowning the results that Chebukati announced. That tells you that the election was not credible as we anticipated. The conduct of the presidential election was interrupted by Ruto and Chebukati and even altered various forms before in the commission’s portal” added Raila.
