Content creator and comedian Dem Wa Facebook recently visited her mother in Kitale, treating her to a warm display of love.
The entertainer shared a heartwarming TikTok video of the visit, where she danced with her mum, wearing a sleeveless denim top paired with matching trousers, and bright yellow and black shoes.
Her mother, dressed in a beautiful silk Ankara dress, was at the centre of the celebrations.
In the video, Dem Wa Facebook can be seen playfully splashing KSh 100 notes on her mum, handing her some money directly, and captioning the post, “Jackyline Nabwala Namai, I love you, my mother.”
However, the gesture drew mixed reactions online. Some praised her for expressing love, while others criticised her for flaunting cash on social media.
One user commented, “Fear social media, don’t show your blessings this way,” while another added, “If you are blessed, keep it private.”
In response to the backlash, Dem Wa Facebook clarified during an exclusive interview that the money totaled only KSh 1,000. “I was just having fun and wanted to see how people would react,” she explained.
Beyond the joyful moment, Dem Wa Facebook is also making significant strides for her family.
She is currently constructing a three-bedroom house for her parents in Kitale, revealing she has invested KSh 2 million so far and is nearing completion.
Her efforts continue to inspire many, with fans praising her for building a better life for her family while staying connected to her roots.
