Museveni’s Son Claims It Would Take Him 2 Weeks To Overthrow Ruto’s Govt

The commander of the land forces of the Uganda People’s Defense Force Muhoozi Kainerugaba, who is also President Museveni’s son, now says it will take him and his army less than two weeks to take control of Kenya’s capital city Nairobi.

In an apparent show of strength he and his army possess said his army is much stronger than that of Kenya.

“It would take us, my army and me, 2 weeks to capture Nairobi,” Kainerugaba said.

In a series of Tweets on Monday, October 3, Uganda’s retired military commander Muhoozi Kainerugaba said once the neighboring country gets captive of Nairobi, he will be staying in either Westlands or Riverside.

“After our army captures Nairobi, where should I live? Westlands? Riverside?” he posed.

Muhoozi appointed to the Ugandan army

Muhoozi was appointed by his father, Uganda President Yoweri Museveni as the commander of land forces in the army in June 2021.

This was the second time Museveni was promoting his son, in the hierarchy of the army in a span of six months.

Earlier on, Museveni’s son that retired President Uhuru Kenyatta could have won the presidential elections if he had run for the third time.

“My only problem with my beloved big brother is that he didn’t stand for a third term. We would have won easily!” he said.

The remarks by Museveni’s son were considered to be ‘demeaning’ by a section of Kenyans who dared him to make good his threat.

For instance, City Lawyer Donald Kipkorir urged the Kenya Defense Forces to stand up and defense the Kenya’s territories.

“Muhoozi Kainerugaba Museveni, Uganda Army Commander and next President of Uganda say it will take his army only two weeks to take over Kenya. I am yet to hear our Army Commander denying or admitting our Army’s ability to defend our borders from the threatened inversion,” Kipkorir said.
