Popular Nigerian singer dubbed Davido has bashed an event promoter who failed to pay his performance balance prior to his performance in Italy.

Taking to his Instagram stories, Davido stated that he couldn’t imagine working hard to arrive on time to entertain his fans and fail to get paid prior to the event.

He added that he wanted his work to be appreciated. He went ahead and stated that he always uses private flights so that he can be able to arrive on time, and he couldn’t imagine how his work could not get the appreciation it deserved.

He wrote, “We overwork our bodies, blood sweat and tears daily to keep up and deliver these shows for our fans,  only for people to take our craft and hard work for granted. I fly private 90 percent of the time but because of logistics issues, we couldn’t get a landing permit on time. I even decided to take almost 3 connecting flights to get here.”

Davido is one of the most sought-after musicians in Nigeria. He has so many fans in other parts of the world. He has been relevant in the music industry for a very long time, and it is for this reason that fans love him.

He continued, “We get here and the promoter did not keep up to his own part of the agreement. He sells thousands of tickets but doesn’t want to pay me. I have been waiting for either cash or a wire transfer, but still, there is nothing. I know how many people used their last to see me. So because of that, I will do the show.”

Davido’s fans have raised mixed reactions online, bashing the promoter for not keeping his promise in paying the singer and his team.
