President William Ruto has once again been given a reason to reconsider his cabinet, with growing calls to remove incompetent, corrupt, and arrogant ministers who continue to cast a negative light on his administration.

This development follows reports that Transport Cabinet Secretary Hon. Kipchumba Murkomen has allegedly defied the law by operating his own airline while still in office.

According to an exposé by Kimuzi, a renowned X influencer, CS Murkomen is accused of compromising the Kenya Civil Aviation Authority (KCAA) to launch Mara Airline without following due legal processes.

“Good morning, my pathetic thief @kipmurkomen from my home county. Are you still responding to allegations from Dubai, or is this about the land you acquired through dubious means? You have no luck with me. Did you think we would abandon the X space?” Kimuzi wrote on X on July 8, after sharing a screenshot of a message from a concerned citizen about Kipchumba Murkomen’s conduct.

In addition to the Mara Airline issue, Kipchumba Murkomen has recently been in the news for negative reasons. He is one of the cabinet secretaries and government officials accused of displaying opulence, arrogance, and deep-rooted corruption.

His call for the passage of the Lifestyle Audit Bill received backlash from Kenyans, who accused him of hypocrisy, believing he seeks to enrich himself at the expense of suffering citizens.

Despite these issues, Kenyans are still waiting to see if President Ruto will make significant changes to his cabinet. There have been reports that at least seven cabinet secretaries could be dismissed if Ruto decides to merge and eliminate some ministries.

On Friday last week, President William Ruto during an X space attended by thousands of Kenyans defended his Cabinet and refuted claims that its members are to be blamed for the current mess we are witnessing in the country.
