“We believe that the elderly are not to be forgotten but are to be cared for, cherished, and celebrated. As part of our special programs at AKFO, we make it our duty to care for and celebrate the elderly,” Agnes Kagure Foundation wrote on X on June 12.

All the same, the Foundation (AKFO) has been vocal in running various empowerment programs that positively impact residents across different parts of Nairobi County.

These programs include healthcare initiatives, social support, and recreational activities as well as sponsoring bright and needy students whose academic life was likely to be shattered if Agnes Kagure didn’t come to rescue them.

That notwithstanding, it appears that Agnes Kagure’s vision for the foundation is clear and focused. She aims to create a society where the elderly are respected and their contributions to the community are acknowledged.

Still on Hon Agnes Kagure, her moves alongside her Agnes Kagure Foundation activities have left politics pundits scratching their heads and guessing whether Kagure could be planning to edge out Nairobi Gov Hon Johnson Sakaja who has in the recent days been on the subject of receiving bashing from leaders cross the political divide for failing to sort out current mess in Nairobi.
