Nairobi, Kenya – Agnes Kagure, a renowned businesswoman and former aspirant for the Nairobi governor seat, has announced her plans to expand her scholarship program for needy students through her newly launched Agnes Kagure Foundation.
In a Facebook post on February 28, Kagure said that she has been supporting students from various levels of education for over 12 years, and that she wants to reach more beneficiaries with the help of her foundation.
“For over 12 years now, I have been blessed to support many students’ pursuit of education from primary, secondary and tertiary levels. With the increasing numbers and diversification of needs, this project will now be carried forward through Agnes Kagure Foundation alongside other empowerment programs,” Kagure wrote.
She added that education is a powerful tool to change lives and destinies, and that she is keen to hear from the public on how to ensure that the support reaches the intended beneficiaries.
“It is my desire that this project expands and reaches even more deserving cases since I recognize the power of education to change destinies and transform lives. I’ll be seeking your views on safeguard mechanisms that will ensure that the support reaches the intended beneficiaries,” she said.
Kagure, who is also the founder and CEO of The Insurance Consulting Group, has been involved in various philanthropic activities, especially in the areas of education, health, and women empowerment. She is also a mentor and a motivational speaker who inspires young people to pursue their dreams.
The Agnes Kagure Foundation, which was officially launched on February 27, aims to provide sustainable solutions to the challenges facing the society, especially the youth and women. The foundation’s vision is to create a better world for everyone through education, empowerment, and entrepreneurship.
