Huge Boost For Ruto As Former Mudavadi’s Rural Home Governor Endorses His Presidential Bid

Deputy President William Ruto has received huge political mileage after the former Vihiga County Governor Reverend Moses Akaranga endorsed his gubernatorial bid.

Speaking during Progressive Party of Kenya (PPK) campaigns in Vihiga, Akaranga wooed electorates to vote for Ruto in August contest terming Raila as untrustworthy.

He revealed that DP Ruto pleaded him to rally Vihiga locals to embrace the bottom-up economic model as well as popularizing his (Ruto’s) presidential bid.

“Ruto invited me to his official residence in Karen, Nairobi and pleaded me to support his presidential bid. I want to urge you to vote for DP Ruto in forthcoming election” he said

Akaranga is seeking to reclaim Vihiga gubernatorial seat on Progressive Party of Kenya (PPK) in August battle.

He lost Vihiga seat to Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) candidate Wilberforce Ottichilo in 2017.

Deputy President William Ruto, Amani National Congress (ANC) party leader Musalia Mudavadi, Ford Kenya head Moses Wetangula among other parties teamed to form Kenya Kwanza Alliance that seeks to downplay Raila Odinga’s Azimio – One Kenya, that comprises of Jubilee, ODM, Narc Kenya, Wiper, KANU and other 23 perceived fringe parties.
