Kalonzo Musyoka has always been unpredictable, as he has played his cards to ensure his inclusion in the next government after the 2022 elections.

Kalonzo recently endorsed Raila Odinga for the third time, but he made news after announcing that he will run for President in the upcoming elections.

This comes after ODM Chief Raila Odinga failed to nominate Kalonzo Musyoka for the running mate position, resulting in Kalonzo’s demands not being honored, forcing him to leave Azimio.

According to Matungulu MP Stephen Mule, who spoke to KTN television, Kalonzo Musyoka’s chances of returning to Azimio are slim, given his continued support for the presidency.

“The position of Kalonzo has not altered. He will run for President alongside his running companion, Sunkule. At a national gathering, he will announce his final decision….” Mule told KTN News about it.

This comes at a time when Kalonzo Musyoka is gone from the country for a special meeting, utilizing the opportunity to ponder on his next move and take a vacation from national politics.

Wiper Party members and officials convened at Stoni Athi Resort in Machakos County in a crisis conference organized by Kalonzo in his absence and resolved to engage with Azimio la Umoja One Kenya coalition under “structured discussion.”

Mbui stated that the impasse is not about Kalonzo as a person, as some critics and opposing politicians have suggested, but about the party.

Religious, political, and business leaders in the Ukambani region have urged Kalonzo Musyoka to reconsider his position, claiming that his intransigence will cost the region dearly.
