Deputy President William Ruto today, Friday 10th June joined other Kenya Kwanza Alliance affiliates to grace the christened Kenya Kwanza Women Charter at Nyayo Stadium, Nairobi.

Speaking during the event, DP Ruto’s spouse, Mama Rachel Ruto showered the second in command with praises for committing to his words on women empowerment and financial inclusion.

” I want to thank Deputy President for remaining committed to a course of Kenya Kwanza Women empowerment Charter and financial inclusion. Because I am here today to speak to my fellow women, I want to confirm to you that Deputy President is a man who commits to his words. Ni mtu wa Kusema na Kutenda” she said.

DP William Ruto also commuted to ensure a comprehensive return to school formula for teenage mothers, under bursary schemes, as well as to put an end to period poverty by providing sanitary pads to all girls for free.

He committed to actualising access to government procurement opportunities by ensuring that women-owned enterprises automatically qualify for financing through the hustler fund.

He assured that the Kenya Kwanza government will implement the two-third gender rule in the first three months after taking over power from Uhuru Kenyatta.

While predicting on the chances of women governor aspirants securing seats, Ruto hinted that Kenya Kwanza Coalition will produce the highest number of women governors in the next Government.

“I am not a prophet but I can predict that the Kenya Kwanza Coalition will produce the highest number of elected women governors in the next Government. We will set a record in the republic of Kenya” he added.

He stated that Kenya Kwanza Coalition had a ready testimony in the upcoming 13th parliament to showcase that the coalition has a place for women.
