Tensions flared up today in the political arena when Public Service CS Hon. Moses Kuria weighed in on the ongoing feud between Kirinyaga County Governor Hon. Anne Mumbi Waiguru and Deputy President (DP) Rigathi Gachagua. Kuria took to X to urge Governor Waiguru to ease off her attacks on DP Gachagua, hinting at deeper divisions within the Ruto camp.
In the post, CS Kuria directly addressed Waiguru, cautioning her against escalating conflicts with DP Gachagua. He pointed out that Kenya might not be ready for a female deputy president or president, casting doubts on Waiguru’s suitability for higher office due to alleged integrity issues.
Also, CS Kuria launched personal attacks on Waiguru, accusing her of corruption and betrayal, adding fuel to the already fiery political landscape. His words painted a picture of deep-seated animosity within political circles.

Waiguru, on her part, yesterday pushed back against what she perceives as attempts to monopolize the Deputy President’s office. She made it clear that any Kenyan citizen is eligible for the position, signaling her resistance to being sidelined.
This clash between Kuria and Waiguru exposes the political cracks within the Ruto camp, where different factions are fighting for influence and control.
All the same, it’s clear that the Ruto camp is facing significant challenges in maintaining unity and coherence.
“Waiguru should be told that even if she starts fighting DP Gachagua right now, Kenya is not ready for a female deputy president, let alone a president. Her integrity issues cannot allow her to occupy that office. She is corrupt to the core and a hoe who betrayed Uhuru for Ruto,” CS Hon Moses Kuria wrote on Twitter on May 21 hours after Waiguru threw shades at Deputy President Hon Rigathi Gachagua over alleged fallout with Kiharu MP Hon Ndindi Nyoro.
