Ruto Beats Raila In Number of Presidential Campaign Tours

Ruto floors Raila with 63 presidential campaign tours countrywide

Kenya Kwanza flag bearer William Ruto has outshone Azimio – One Kenya presidential candidate Raila Odinga in the number of presidential campaign tours countrywide.

According to Kenyans.co.ke, Deputy President William Ruto has made 36 inroads in Mt Kenya region while his counterpart competitor, Raila Odinga toured the region 15 times.

Ruto has also traversed Rift Valley, his perceived rural hotbed,  21 times while Raila made 15 entries into the region, totaling to 36 presidential campaign rallies.

In Western region, the perceived bedroom for Amani National Congress (ANC) party boss Musalia Mudavadi and Ford Kenya party leader Moses Wetangula, the second in command has toured 22 times while Raila Odinga doing 14 rallies in Mulembe nation.

Ruto is muscling to beat Raila in Coastal region as he has held 22 presidential rallies against Raila’s 10.

Coastal region has in the recent history been Raila’s stronghold and this has spirited DP Ruto to change the narrative and woo electorates to embrace bottom-up economic model that is spearheaded by hustler nation faction.

The hustler nation has held 13 rallies in Nairobi county as Azimio brigade has traversed the city 10 times while rallying the locals to vote for Raila Odinga in August 9 contest.

This emerges barely a day after Trends Insight of Foundation Africa released poll survey fronting Raila Odinga with 50 percent, DP Ruto commanding 25 percent and Wajackoyah garnering 7 percent in terms of popularity in Nairobi county.

Raila has only made 2 rallies in Ukambani region while Ruto has exhaustively toured the region 14 times.

Having it in mind that Nyanza region might not tap more votes into hustler nation vote hunting basket, owing to the fact that the region is mostly perceived as Raila’s bedroom, Ruto and Raila have tied as each has made 7 entries into the region.

In North-Eastern, Ruto has toured the region twice while Raila only once.

Kenyans.co.ke established that Ruto has made a total of 137 presidential campaigns countrywide while Raila has managed to hold 74 rallies countrywide.
