Deputy President William led the Kenya Kwanza brigade today, Friday, 10th June for Kenya Kwanza Women Charter at Nyayo Stadium in Nairobi.
The second in command of DP Ruto’s Kenya Kwanza faction seeks to forge an inclusive government that upholds the 2/3 gender rule. Among other Kenya Kwanza Alliance principals attending the event includes, Amani National Congress (ANC) party leader Musalia Mudavadi, Ford Kenya boss Moses Wetangula, speaker of the National Assembly Justin Muturi, and Chama Cha Kazi party leader Moses Kuria.
However, Ruto among other Kenya Kwanza allied legislators was left in despair after a woman pastor’s blooper by terming Kenya Kwanza Alliance as Kenya Kwisha during an opening prayer for the event.
“And on this stage, we want to come into an agreement with the Kenya Kwisha….. Nkt” she gaffed after realizing the mistake before quickly correcting it.
“With the Kenya Kwanza women, that every hard lighting, has been a last. Thank you, Jesus, Thank you, Father, thank you mfalme, thank you for gracing this event, thank you for coming with us, thank you for bringing us all this far and as we conclude, may your presence go with them, may your presence be in those ballot papers, may your presence go with this man, to the state house” she continued.
Kenya Kwisha phrase is mostly hyped by the DP Ruto’s rivals, especially in Raila Odinga’s led Azimio – One Kenya faction.
This has thrown netizens into robust debates as sections of Azimio affiliates have pitched arguments that the woman pastor might be Raila’s mole in the Kenya Kwanza camp.
Azimio – One Kenya running mate nominee and Narc Kenya party leader Martha Karua is on the other popularizing drumming support for Raila Odinga’s presidency in the Ukambani region.
She kicked off the campaign itinerary in Kitui county where she is being hosted by a score of Azimio allies including the county boss Charity Ngilu.
