Raila Odinga attended a church mass in Misikhu in Bungoma county were joined by officials from the Azimio la Umoja movement. He is then set to travel to Misikhu Market in Bungoma County for regional major rallies. Where they held a massive rally that turned heroic as tens of thousands of citizens attended. Raila Odinga was greeted cordially by hundreds of villagers as he made his spectacular entry in Misikhu market. The people obstructed his campaign motorcade, yelling Azimio la Umojaa-related slogans and Raila’s name and asking him to address them.
He recognized their presence by waving at the crowd as he exhorted them to support his cause. Bungoma county is widely regarded as DP Ruto’s turf. Given the outpouring of support he receives from both locals and allies, Raila Odinga, on the other hand, is hard on his tail, encouraging residents to back his cause in the region.
Odinga is having his first Mega event since today, when he announced Martha Karua as his running mate.
As we speak, Misikhu market has come to a halt. The brigade had already stopped in Sirisia and Misikhu markets. Residents of Bungoma have been invited to show out in large numbers on August 9th by leaders in the region who support him. Among the senior Mulembe leaders present at the occasion are Governor Wycliffe Wangamati, his Kakamega colleague Wycliffe Oparanya, and Eugene Wamalwa. Rails’ cries filled the air as he took the podium to thank the Mulembe people for their unwavering support.
The ODM leader also promised the Bungoma people that his government will bring more development projects to the area. At a later date, Odinga initiated Scathy assaults on the Kenya Kwanza squad led by Ruto. He blasted DP Ruto yet again for failing to deliver for Kenyans during his time in power.
