Popular Kenyan content creator and a celebrity Oga Obinna has landed in hot water after being accused of theft and fraud by a woman claiming to be his benefactor.
Liz Kawela, who says she’s been in a relationship with Obinna for a year, filed a police report at Gigiri Police Station, accusing him of stealing Ksh 2.5 million and her Range Rover (registration KDP) before vanishing.

According to Liz, the couple lived together in her Kitisuru home, where she also accommodated Obinna’s four children.
“Obinna moved into my house with his kids. He is a conman and should be exposed,” she alleged. Liz claims she was the sole financial provider in their relationship and that even the cars Obinna drives are hers.
According to blogger Cyprian Nyakundi, the alleged theft occurred while the two were out having lunch at a hotel in Kiserian. Liz says Obinna sent his personal assistant and several men to her house to take cash, bedding, and items valued at Ksh 2.5 million.

The house help’s phones were also reportedly confiscated to prevent them from alerting Liz.
While Obinna’s assistant and the men involved were arrested, they have since been released on bond, awaiting court proceedings. Obinna himself has been summoned to appear at Gigiri Police Station tomorrow to address the allegations.
