President William Ruto has come under scrutiny following an exclusive 7-minute video released by KTN News on Friday night.

The video exposes a series of unfulfilled promises and stalled projects, raising questions about Ruto’s credibility and leadership as he navigates his tenure as Kenya’s Head of State.

The video delves into a pattern of unrealistic promises that Ruto has made since 2017, when he served as Deputy President under Uhuru Kenyatta, to his current role in 2024. The report sheds light on numerous stalled projects, including the Ruring’u and Kamariny stadiums in Nyeri and West Pokot, as well as the Kabonyo Kanyaguar Fisheries and Aquaculture project in Kisumu, which have remained neglected since their launch in 2023 during Ruto’s Kisumu tour.

KTN News also highlighted several unmet promises that Ruto has made over the years, such as providing free sanitary pads, offering free and fully funded education from primary to university levels, and distributing free baby diapers.

Despite these ambitious commitments, there has been little to no progress, leaving many Kenyans frustrated and disappointed.

The segment featured an analysis by lawyer and civic educator Morara Kebaso, who critiqued Ruto’s leadership and pointed out the glaring gaps between his promises and actions.

As this coverage circulates, a growing number of Kenyans are beginning to wonder whether President Ruto is transitioning from a “Flying President,” due to his frequent overseas travels, to a “Lying President,” or perhaps embodying both roles.

All the same, it remains to be seen how Pres William Ruto and his Deputy President Hon Rigathi Gachagua will manage to calm down the rising public discontent to how the govt is doing its things.
