Raila was certified to run for president today at Bomas of Kenya by Wafula Chebukati, making it a very special day for the Azimio La Umoja family. Raila then proceeded to campaign on Nairobi streets, passing via Kibera Street to address the people of Nairobi.

There was a lot of enthusiasm when Raila’s motorcade came, and everybody cheered loudly. The street was packed with happy individuals who genuinely cared for Raila, giving him a true picture of the situation. By looking at the data, this could indicate that he still has ground. Raila was brought to Bomas in the company of numerous Azimio La Umoja leaders.

Raila in Kibera

Raila’s motorcade struggled to get through the overly enthusiastic crowd, leaving dust all over the streets. In Kenya, the political game is currently at its peak, with politicians rushing to save the situation at the last minute.

As they prepare for the next important election, which will take place in August, Azimio la Umoja has taken significant efforts. It was a nice day for them because they were greeted cordially in Kibera by Nairobi residents who were really happy and delighted to see Raila.

As a result, the man who was presiding over the occasion invited all of the prospective lawmakers for Nairobi seats to come up. Polycarp Igathe was one of the first to arrive on stage. Igathe waved to the crowd when he came. When Igathe announced that the ground had made its decision, the crowd erupted in cheers and celebration. Even before Igathe could say a single word, the crowd erupted in applause.

Senator Sakaja of the United Democratic Party (UDA) is expected to face Igathe in the Nairobi county senatorial seat. It will be a tough competition, and the people of Nairobi will have the final say. Looking at what happened, we can definitely say the ground is already decided.
