Life in Kariobangi North is often shaped by small but important struggles, and one of the biggest has been the constant lack of clean and reliable water. Geoffrey Owino Agutu, widely known as Babaa, has stepped forward as one of the few people actively trying to change this reality.

His recent effort to bring three large water tanks to the neighborhood has not only eased a long-standing challenge but also strengthened his presence in the Kariobangi North MCA contest, giving residents a clear picture of the kind of leader he hopes to be.

Geoffrey grew up and still lives in the same community he wants to represent, which means he experiences the same daily struggles as everyone else. For many families in Kariobangi North, water shortages are more than an inconvenience they shape everyday life. People often wake up early or walk long distances just to get clean water. Others are forced to buy it at high prices, stretching already limited budgets.

Seeing these hardships, Geoffrey decided not to sit back or rely on promises. He took the concerns directly to the Agnes Kagure Foundation, an organization that supports community welfare projects.

When he submitted the request for water tanks, it was placed on a long list with many other community needs. Most people would have accepted the delay, but Geoffrey chose a different approach. He kept visiting the foundation and speaking to its officials, reminding them of how serious the water crisis was. He explained how families struggled each day and how he had personally assured the residents that the issue would be solved. His constant follow-ups showed how committed he was to finding solutions, not just talking about them.

His determination eventually brought results. On a bright day in Kariobangi North, three large water tanks were delivered, sparking excitement among residents. People gathered around the tanks with smiles, cheers, and raised hands. The atmosphere felt like a celebration because the community understood the impact this would have on their daily lives. With these tanks now available, many households can finally access clean water without walking long distances or paying extra charges. Geoffrey stood among the people, interacting warmly, as posters displaying his MCA bid fluttered nearby.

This achievement has become a strong example of why many residents see him as a serious and promising candidate for MCA. In a densely populated area like Kariobangi North, issues such as water, infrastructure, waste management, and youth employment require leaders who are not only present but proactive.

Geoffrey’s approach hands-on, persistent, and rooted in community experience sets him apart from candidates who only appear during campaign seasons.
