Hon. Jimmy Kiamba, the Nairobi City County chief finance officer, has this afternoon suffered another huge blow following the explosion of confirmed reports that the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission has already obtained orders seeking to freeze his bank account(s), containing a sum of Kshs 113 million, which has been traced back to City Hall.

According to an exclusive report by Nation Africa, Jimmy Kiamba has been using close friends and colleagues at work to compromise tendering processes, inflate budgets, and add allowances that don’t exist, all in order to loot taxpayers’ money.

On the same note, detectives have established that Jimmy Kiamba has been a close ally of the Nairobi County Governor Hon. Johnson Sakaja, with their friendship traced back to 2013 when he worked as Sakaja’s communication officer.

That notwithstanding, it remains to be seen whether the EACC will go after the big fish, who appears to be enjoying protection from both KK and Azimio camps whenever a storm emerges.

Earlier this year when a group of UDA party MPs in Nairobi led by Hon. John Kiarie of Dagorretti threatened to impeach Sakaja over massive looting of public resources, and inability to sort Nairobi’s drainage system among others, Mr. Dimples went ahead. They met with the Opposition leader Hon. Raila Odinga who reportedly paid him kshs 200 Million for protection by his MCAs.

Later, Sakaja called for a media presser and dismissed claims that corruption was deep-rooted in City Hall and assured the nation that he couldn’t dine together with thieves. He said that his officers have a proven record of maintaining integrity and can’t be involved in Kickbacks. He alleged that some KK leaders were bitter because he chose to work with the Azimio camp.
