City tycoon Agnes Kagure yesterday held a meeting with young entrepreneurs and asserted her commitment to support startups and businesses led by the youthfolk.
Being an established businesswoman whose success stems from a push and dedication she had while starting out her business ventures at a young age, Kagure says she’s the best placed person to educate and mentor the young entrepreneurs.
“Today has been about education and results, and as a dedicated life-mentor, I had extensive deliberations with some of you who continuously seek my input on various projects they are engaged in. I’m impressed with the progress and can’t wait to see the end-results and the impact on the people around. Whatever you are working on, work on it with enthusiasm and purpose, and help will find its way to you. Kudos; better days are ahead,” she posted on her social media accounts.
Kagure has been so passionate about the youths since time immemorial. During her campaigns for the Nairobi gubernatorial seat, the business magnate presented a youth-centered manifesto, sharing a belief that the country would only prosper if the youth are empowered.
Through her social media platforms, Kagure said her engagements with the youth had revealed that young people desire a leader who recognizes their ambitions and helps them fulfil their dreams through enabling policies and linkages.
“As I continue engaging the youth, I can’t help but feel their desire for a county gov’t that recognizes their ambitions and helps them to actualize their dreams through enabling policies and linkages. I share in your dreams; together, we’ll turn your potentials into possibilities,” she said in one of her posts then.
