Worthstart Agency’s James Wanjohi Accused Of Defrauding Jobseekers With Fake Overseas Jobs

From presenting himself as a politician who is loyal to the ruling UDA Party, to presenting himself as a tech lover, developer and a web hosting provider to now presenting himself as a established business mogul who can organize for a travel visa within 2 days provided you cough some money, James Wanjohi has once again proven to be a cat of 9 lives.

According to the report by local media station in Kenya, Mr. Wanjohi’s firm WorthStart Agency headquartered in Nairobi has been linked to alleged fake jobs scams adding to previous fraud claims against him elsewhere.

On Wednesday, the agency’s offices stationed in Pension Towers, Nairobi, was raided by DCI detectives following complaints from disgruntled members of the public who had taken prey to alleged fraud.

And in a video clip that has gone viral, a young man is seen and heard weeping bitterly after he was allegedly swindled kshs 60, 0000 on promise of being given a travel visa to travel to Qatar for greener pastures.

In the video, the middle-aged man is seen weeping bitterly while explaining how he has been saving since 2022 with hopes of changing his family that wholly depends on him for daily bread.

“They promised to secure me a job in Canada, I went ahead and borrowed money elsewhere and since January they’ve been ignoring me and yet they’re holding my passport. I just want my money back.” He’s heard saying in part.

According to the information on their website, WorthStart Limited offer a wide range of services including; Travel Consultation, Visa Application and Tracking, Hosting Services, Flight Bookings and Reservations, Hotel Bookings and Reservations
Job Searching and Placements.

They also claim to have connected over 300 people with jobs abroad and helped over 500 people in securing visas for travels abroad.
