The Roots Party leader Professor George Luchiri Wajackoyah has summoned his running mate Justina Wambui Wamae in the just concluded general election for disciplinary actions over her berated utterances that were perceived to belittle the party.
According to the letter dated today Monday, Justina Wamae had been instructed to appear before the disciplinary committee on 26th August, 2022.
Wajackoyah accused Justina of linking him to the allegations of secretly courting the former prime minister Raila Odinga’s presidential bid in the just concluded general election that was held on 9th August, 2022.
“We have been instructed by the Party Leader, Professor George Wajackoyah (herein referred as “the Party Leader”), with respect to your position as the running mate to the just concluded general elections, and your current utterances both in the mainstream media and social media,” read the statement in part.
The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) chairman Wafula Chebukati declared UDA aspirant William Ruto as the president elect after commanding 7,176,141 votes out of 14,213,027 that represented 50.4898850892213 per cent of the total votes cast.
The Azimio – One Kenya candidate Raila Odinga got 6,942,930 votes that equated to 48.84905938756044 per cent of the total votes cast.
The Roots Party presidential candidate George Luchiri Wajackoyah, who had vowed to decriminalize Marijuana and introduce snake farming if elected the country’s head wielded 61,969 votes came to 0.436001423201405 per cent of the total votes cast.

The Agano party David Waihiga Mwaure on the other hand got 31,987 votes that came to 0.225054100016397 percent.

The ODM party leader has however unveiled a battery of senior lawyers to file a petition at the supreme court challenging Ruto’s win.
Raila argued that the shameful move by the four Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) commissioners to fallout with the commission’s chair depicts the incredibility of the electoral processes that rendered Ruto’s victory.
