Raila Badly Heckled and Booed In Meru As UDA Chants Rock Azimio Rally

Azimio – One Kenya presidential candidate Raila Odinga was badly heckled and booed by deputy president William Ruto’s believed supporters during Azimio campaigns in the region.

As Raila popularized Uchumi bora, productivity and unity among locals, United  Democratic Alliance (UDA) ardent supporters characterized the rally with Deputy President William Ruto’s chants.

“Umoja, Uzalishaji, uchumi bora” Raila campaigned as he received a backlash from the locals.

Ruto, Ruto, Ruto” the weld crowd chanted embarrassing the former prime minister Raila Odinga.

Raila was accompanied by Nairobi governor Anne Kananu and a host of area legislators from Meru.

Raila accused the second in command for allegedly squandering and drying the public coffers through corruption.

“He (Ruto) has been traversing the country gifting schools buses, church donations, fundraising among others, donating millions of shillings when his monthly salary is only Ksh2M. Where did he get all this money that he is donating?” Raila wondered.

He advised locals to take the handouts from Ruto but vote for Azimio – One Kenya coalition in the August race.

“If he comes here with the money, don’t reject, take it and welcome him once again, but don’t vote for him in August 9, contest” he added.

He assured to enforce free medical covers to under-salary-earning families that can’t bear the burden of paying for NHIF.

He promised to implement free education from primary to tertiary levels. Raila also affirmed reinforcing the Ksh6,000 monthly stipend to underprivileged families in the society through what he termed “Baba Care”

Deputy President William Ruto, however, has asserted to allocate billions of shillings to micro, small and medium business enterprises that he hopes to create job opportunities to millions of unemployed youths across the country.

Through bottom-up economic model, Ruto has ascertained to bridge the gap between the poor and the rich when elected president in August battle.
