United Democratic Alliance (UDA) party leader and Kenya Kwanza presidential candidate William Ruto and Azimio – One Kenya flag bearer Raila Odinga have received bad news following defiant Kalonzo’s decision to vie for presidency after ditching Azimio.

According to Wiper Democratic Party affiliate Matungulu MP Hon Mule, Kalonzo’s decision to vie for presidency might negatively haunt Raila and Ruto’s state house bid in August contest.

He noted that if Kalonzo muscles for the country’s top seat as lone ranger, then the chances of either Raila or Ruto getting 50+1 per cent are minimal.

“If Kalonzo muscles up his troops across the country and moves forward to run for presidency, I can assure that neither Raila not Ruto will get 50+1 per cent” he said.

He noted that Kalonzo pulling out of Azimio slashed off 3 per cent from Raila’s support across the country.

“Before the naming of the deputy president by Hon. Odinga, they were at par at 42 percent, which included Kalonzo’s support. When he pulled out, the numbers changed to 39, and it affected Kenya Kwanza’s numbers as well,” said Mule.

Mule added that Kalonzo is the hotcake for both Azimio – One Kenya coalition and Kenya Kwanza Alliance as far as next general election is concerned.

“It tells you that the determining factor in this election is none other than Dr. Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka.” he added.
