A potential political showdown within the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) could be on the horizon, as Gatanga MP Edward Muriu revealed on Sunday that Kiharu MP Ndindi Nyoro, though a close ally of President William Ruto, is quietly positioning himself for a future in politics that may eventually put him at odds with the President.

According to Edward Muriu, who is a confidant of Nyoro, the Kiharu MP is looking at a long-term political career. Muriu explained that Nyoro has intentionally distanced himself from the turmoil surrounding Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua’s impeachment, a decision that has not gone unnoticed.

Muriu believes that this step back from recent heated political debates is a strategic move by Nyoro to solidify his base and preserve his image, especially among his supporters who view him as a potential future leader.

Nyoro’s absence from key discussions has sparked considerable speculation among UDA members, some of whom question his loyalty to President Ruto.

While a few see his silence as a lack of commitment to the current leadership, others interpret it as a calculated move. This strategic quietness has led to theories that Nyoro might be positioning himself as an alternative within the party, setting the stage for a possible clash with Ruto.

As a previously outspoken MP known for his strong support of UDA and active involvement in Ruto’s campaigns, Nyoro’s sudden reticence raises eyebrows. His approach suggests he may be preparing for a significant political move that could redefine alliances within the party.

With tension building, all eyes are now on Nyoro’s next steps, as many wonder whether his political ambitions will eventually bring him into direct conflict with President Ruto.
