Kapseret MP Hon. Oscar Sudi, in what has left many scratching their heads, openly asked Kenyans to avoid being fed fake news that Deputy President Hon. Rigathi Gachagua was part of the team that funded Gen Z demos. This comes after various bloggers attempted to link the son of Mau Mau to the iniquitous act.

In his message, however, Hon. Oscar Sudi claims that some big men in the political arena had colluded with foreign powers to ensure that President William Ruto and his KK administration won’t know what peace looks like and that it was done intentionally to settle a political score.

Sudi, for instance, said that those who took to the streets in the name of Gen Z protesters were paid and manipulated to believe that President William Ruto doesn’t deserve to be President.

“Things that happened in Kenya were planned. They intended to overthrow the government. It was a set coup,” he charged, fueling the already intense political atmosphere in the country.

Though Sudi refrained from naming specific individuals, his remarks seemed aimed at dispelling accusations that President Ruto and his allies had orchestrated the violence to undermine the anti-government protests that have gripped Kenya for the past three weeks.

In his impassioned statement, Sudi expressed his frustration over the destruction wrought by the protests, which included the burning of his popular entertainment venue, Timber XO.

“Burning counties like Uasin Gishu is really embarrassing. We look like fools,” Sudi said, questioning the connection between the Finance Bill, which has been a major flashpoint, and the violence affecting businesses and communities.

Sudi’s Timber XO was torched during the protests, an act he claims has had far-reaching consequences beyond the immediate damage.
