Controversial Mumias East MP Peter Salasya has taken a swipe at CS Defence nominee Aden Duale after the veteran politician branded him as a joker. Duale’s criticism came after Salasya made his maiden submission to Parliament.
During his submission before Deputy Speaker Gladys Boss Shollei, the first-term MP cracked parliamentarians when he kept referring to the house chair as “Madam Speaker Sir”.
Reacting to a clip of Salasya’s speech, the Garissa Township MP stated that it was shameful for such a submission to be made in the August House.
“This is serious, can’t be the August House. Mungu saidia,” Duale posted.
In a quick rebuttal, Salasya demanded respect from the CS Defence nominee. He stated that Duale will pose more problems than solutions to the nation once confirmed as a member of the cabinet.
“Aden Duale respect me, please !!!! you only shout in parliament nothing else . In fact, you can bring more problems to our defense forces than the stability we are experiencing now in our country.
“Aden Duale is now castigating me telling me that I am a joker. You are going to bring more problems to this country. You are not qualified to be the CS of Defence. I will be the first to ask questions in Parliament,” he said.
