Nairobi Governor Johnson Sakaja has come under heavy fire after allegedly fleeing to Mexico to escape scrutiny.

The governor, known for his flashy public appearances, is now accused of abandoning his responsibilities at a critical moment.

His absence has stirred anger, especially as Nairobi residents question the progress of key projects like the much-hyped Uhuru Park renovation.

Outspoken blogger Maverick Aoko did not hold back on Twitter, unleashing a blistering attack on Sakaja. In her tweet, she wrote:

“Dimpled doofus, aka Teams is hiding in México. Tweeting about Uhuru park from South America. Ameenda ku penetrate Latino rectums. By the way, Bibi alimuacha juu ya ulevi na ushoga. Couldn’t face the senators, despite being listed as one of the accusers. Mwizi ka WsR,” Aoko wrote on X.

Aoko’s post reflects growing public frustration with Sakaja, who has faced criticism for avoiding key political engagements.

His absence coincides with rising discontent over his performance as governor, with many Nairobians accusing him of failing to deliver on his promises.

The governor’s sudden trip abroad has also raised eyebrows, with some speculating he was avoiding appearing before the Senate, where he was named as one of the accusers during Gachagua’s ouster that ended yesterday.

His critics argue that by dodging accountability, Sakaja is betraying the trust of the public.

On top of governance issues, Aoko’s tweet hinted at alleged personal struggles, suggesting that his wife left him due to alcoholism and other questionable behaviours. These claims, although unverified, have only added fuel to the public backlash.

Nairobi residents now demand that Sakaja return and face the Senate, urging him to take responsibility instead of hiding abroad. Many fear his absence is yet another indication of weak leadership at City Hall.
