Deputy President William Ruto’s running mate nominee and Mathira legislator Rigathi Gachagua has taken a bruise swap at Nakuru county governor Lee Kinyanjui, alleging that he (Kinyanjui) is the long serving late president Mzee Daniel Moi’s biological son.
The bitter exchange of words between the duo escalated after Lee Kinyanjui compelled Gachagua to apologize to Nakuru residents over the alleged extrajudicial killings during his reign as purported Molo District Officer (DO)
Gachagua bitterly dismissed the allegations of serving Molo town as DO, citing that he worked in Kirinyaga, Kiambu, Laikipia, Garissa, Turkana, Kakamega and in the office of the president only. He reiterated that he never worked in Nakuru county in his entire life-time of serving the country in any capacity.
“The stations I worked are known. My file number at the Office of the President is PF 611592. I served in Kirinyaga, Kiambu, Laikipia, Garissa, Turkana, Kakamega and in the Office of the President in Nairobi. I have never served in Nakuru, leave alone Molo,” said Gachagua.
He directly lashed Lee Kinyanjui to apologize to the people of Molo on behalf of his “biological father”, Mzee Moi who was by then serving as the commender in chief of Armed Forces and the country’s president.
“Wewe Lee Kinyanjui, unafaa ukuje uombe hawa watu wa Molo msamaha kwa sababu baba yako mzazi ndiye alikuwa rais wakati watu wa Molo walikuwa wanaumia”
Which loosely translates to, “You (Lee Kinyanjui), you are supposed to apologize to Molo people over the sufferings that was subjected to them during the reign of your biological father, serving as president” he added on Friday, 25th June, 2022 while he was flanked with a host of UDA allied legislators.
Lee Kinyanjui is set to wrestle Kenya Kwanza candidate Susana Kihika in his bid of seeking re-elected for the county’s top seat in forthcoming election.
