Nairobi Women Representative aspirant, Millicent Omanga who is also the CAS nominee for Interior and Coordination of National Govt Ministry has voiced her discontent following the alleged raid and closure of her businesses by Nairobi city Kanjos.
Through her social media accounts, Hon Omanga asserts that the decision to close her businesses was triggered by her recent social media comments criticizing Sakaja. “This illegal and unjustified action follows my comment on the Auditor General’s report on Nairobi County, which appears to have infuriated him,” Omanga claimed.
The outspoken politician, who was seen rallying at Gikomba, Nairobi on July 18, 2022, has termed the move as bullying and believes the act was politically motivated. She remains defiant in the face of these actions and has vowed not to succumb to such intimidation.
“I remain steadfast and unbowed and affirm that I’ll not be silenced by such cowardly acts,” Omanga wrote on her Twitter account.
This incident comes just days after Omanga publicly criticized Governor Sakaja, accusing him of mismanaging County Funds. The tension between the two political figures continues to escalate, with Omanga’s businesses becoming the latest casualty in this ongoing feud.
As the political landscape in Nairobi heats up ahead of the upcoming elections, it remains to be seen how this situation will unfold and what impact it will have on Omanga’s political aspirations and the governance of Nairobi County.
Omanga who termed the move as bullying claimed the act was politically orchestrated. She also vowed to not bow down to such intimidation.
“I remain steadfast and unbowed and affirm that I’ll not be silenced by such cowardly acts,” Omanga wrote.
Omanga’s outcry comes days after she hit out at Governor Sakaja where she claimed the Governor mismanagement County Funds.
