Blogger Cyprian Nyakundi has accused activist Hannifa Farsafi and Khalif Kairo whose real name is Joseph Wambui Kairo and who is known as a prominent second-hand car dealer with a massive X following of being paid to betray the Gen Z movement.

According to Nyakundi, financial inducements were in June 2024 used to sway key voices away from the grassroots momentum that has energized Kenyans in recent protests.

Nyakundi detailed that he was offered a staggering Ksh. 30 million to pin the blame on former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua (dubbed “Riggy G”) and to actively discourage supporters from heading to State House.

“I was approached with a lucrative offer to shift public sentiment and undermine our movement, but I refused,” he wrote.

He also claimed that before he made his post, he was contacted by four different individuals regarding the same scheme.

“Even before the Tweets by akina Hanifa surfaced, I had already been warned about these plans,” Nyakundi said, hinting at a premeditated effort to manipulate the narrative.

On Wednesday, June 26, 2024, just a day after the Occupy Parliament demonstrations which resulted in the breach of parliament protesters had planned a march all the way to State House.

Nyakundi’s accusations have stirred heated debate online, with many Kenyans questioning whether influential figures within the movement were compromised by external financial interests.

Critics argue that such tactics could derail the momentum generated by the Occupy Parliament protests and diminish trust in the leadership of the Gen Z movement.

All the same, political observers are calling for thorough investigations into the alleged bribery and for greater transparency about financial dealings within political activism.

Nyakundi’s bold disclosure has not only cast a spotlight on Hanifa Farsafi and Khalif Kairo but also ignited a wider discussion on the use of money to manipulate public opinion in Kenya’s volatile political landscape.

To add salt to an Injury, Khalif Kairo has lately been trending for wrong reason and mainly obtaining money by false pretense, on the other hand Hanifa is accused of being a relative to Health CS Nominee Aden Duale and that tells why she has never been hurt, kidnapped or even killed unlike innocent Kenyans.
