The ongoing controversy surrounding Makueni Governor Mutula Kilonzo Junior has sparked heated discussions after details of his past relationship with a woman named Victoria Ndunge Musyoka came to light.

The issue has drawn attention not only because of the sensitive nature of the claims but also because it involves a sitting governor accused of being entangled in a long-running personal dispute.

Reports indicate that Mutula admitted in a sworn statement that he once paid Sh150,000 to Victoria to terminate a pregnancy.

Despite this, she later delivered a baby and claimed that the child belonged to him. What followed was a series of accusations, denials, and court filings that have now resurfaced in public debate.

Mutula reportedly began questioning whether he was the real father of the child after noticing physical differences between himself and the baby.

He stated that even Victoria’s relatives had told him that another man, with whom she had been in a long-term relationship, was the actual father.

This revelation, according to the governor, raised serious doubts about the paternity of the child and the motives behind Victoria’s claims. In his affidavit, Mutula said that Victoria had refused his request for a DNA test, leaving him with no choice but to believe she was using the child as a tool to extort money and tarnish his reputation.

The governor explained that medical facts did not support Victoria’s claims, arguing that the pregnancy lasted only 24 weeks after their single encounter.

Since a normal pregnancy usually lasts around 40 weeks, he insisted that it was scientifically impossible for him to be the father.

Mutula also accused Victoria of fabricating stories about the baby being placed in an incubator, saying there was no proof of such an incident.

Through his lawyer, Kethi Kilonzo, the governor maintained that Victoria had never provided any hospital records, birth certificates, or medical reports to back up her claims.

Kethi added that Victoria had consistently failed to present the child for DNA testing despite repeated requests since 2014. Mutula further revealed that his name does not appear anywhere in the child’s official documents and that he only learned about the birth through a text message he received while mourning his late father.

The issue has reignited public interest in the personal lives of high-ranking politicians and how such disputes affect their public image.

Many have questioned why the case has dragged on for so long without a conclusive DNA test being conducted. While Mutula maintains that he is a victim of lies aimed at smearing his name, Victoria continues to stand by her claims.

The matter remains unresolved, and the public now awaits to see whether a court intervention or a DNA test will finally bring the issue to an end.
