A Mombasa resident has come forward with serious accusations against local lawyer George Odull of George Odull and Associates.

The allegations arise from a land sale in late 2023, where Ahmed and his wife sold a piece of property and entrusted Odull with the Ksh 6.4 million proceeds.

While the lawyer initially released Ksh 4.5 million, Ahmed claims the remaining Ksh 1.9 million is still unpaid, despite repeated follow-ups.

According to Blogger Cyprian Nyakundi’s post on X on September 26, Ahmed says his attempts to meet with Odull have been unsuccessful.

Whenever he visits the lawyer’s office at Ralli House, Odull is nowhere to be found, with his secretary, Harriett Otieno, allegedly preventing any direct communication.

This evasion has left Ahmed and his wife in a difficult financial position, unable to recover their money.

After months of frustration, Ahmed sought help from the Mombasa Law Society and the Advocates Complaints Commission (ACC).

However, progress has been slow. According to Ahmed, the Law Society has sent only one letter to Odull in nearly a year, with no further action taken.

The ACC is now investigating, but Ahmed worries that the legal process could be lengthy.

To make matters worse, the withheld funds are urgently needed for Ahmed’s wife’s medical treatment in India. Despite sharing this with Odull, there has been no resolution.

Ahmed claims to have an audio recording of Odull falsely assuring him that the payment had already been made, just to avoid further confrontation.

As the case continues, Ahmed is urging other victims of Odull’s alleged misconduct to come forward. He remains determined to seek justice and hopes his story will raise awareness, protecting others from similar experiences.
